About

Alexander Bulova is a media producer and theatrical director living in Providence, Rhode Island.

Alexander has extensive experience in multimedia production. In his current position as Production Lead at GovCIO Media & Research, Alexander edits podcasts, event videos, interviews and other social media features. He has also worked as the Interim Marketing Associate at the Workhouse Arts Center, where he managed the website and social media accounts.

In addition to his media production experience, Alexander is a theatrical director and playwright. Local credit includes It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Hour (2023) at Stadium Theatre and their upcoming production of The Diary of Anne Frank (2025). He is a co-founder of the Class Act Players Theatre company, where he acted as a resident director, outreach manager, and social media co-chair. Shows directed with the Class Act Players include SuperNOVA (2016, “Best of Fringe” at Capital Fringe Festival), The Complete History of Fairfax: The Musical (2017), and Modern Art (2019). Other directorial projects include Three One Acts by Anton Chekhov (2021, virtual production, Workhouse Arts Center), Imaginary Invalid (2020, virtual production, Steadfast Theatre), The Drowsy Chaperone (2019, Sinfonicron Light Opera Company) and Antony and Cleopatra: In Space! (2018, Shakespeare in the Dark).

Alexander graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of William and Mary, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in film & media studies and government. He was a member of the Social Networks and Political Psychology Lab, where he developed his data science skills and a proficiency in R. During his senior year he conducted research on reactions to politically contentious situations while pilot testing virtual reality equipment.

With a background in both media production and theatre, Alexander brings creativity and enthusiasm to each project, using a broad skill set to create professional and engaging content. When not working on video or theatre projects, Alexander enjoys hiking, reading, and predicting the Academy Awards.
